| Tuesday December 23, Promotion of the book by Vladimir Pištalo"Tesla - a portrait among masks" (a novel, publisher "Agora", Zerenjanin, 2008). Guest speakers were Vasa Pavković, Nenad Šaponja, and Vladimir Pištalo. The book has been created for over 6 years and represents one of the chronologies of Teslas life. |

| On December 2nd our guest professor Lee Nordgren MBA at Harvard University gave a lecture on the very attractive topic "Globalization, World Financial Crisis and New USA Responses". The lecture bought around 30 people. Topics that were covered were: what led to economy crisis, how it was spread to the global level, how people and companies react on it, the role of media and what are the possible solutions. |

| In order to mark December 1st The World Aids Day American Corner Novi Sad organized the lecture "Marking Aids prevention Day" given by Mr. Conrad Turner, culture and media attaché. At this round table discussion participants shared their thoughts on this subject and searched for the differences and similarities between American ad Serbian prevention programs. The group also discussed about prevention programs, discrimination issues and how can we as individuals contribute to prevent spreading the HIV virus. The topic of the conversation club was also dedicated to AIDS. All participants shared their knowledge about the subject. Each person that entered the American Corner on this day got a Red Ribbon as a symbol of consciousness rising on this important issue. |

| Opening of paintings and sculptures exhibition "Traveling Trough Arizona" by author Ljubica Milas on Friday, November 7 at 7.00 pm. Part of this exhibition was created in United States and inspired by nature and people of Arizona. The exhibition will be open for public until 7th of December 2008. |

| American Corner Novi Sad participated at Fourth Kid's Film Fest by giving two workshops on Wednesday October 1st "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" for learning silly English words and on Friday October 3rd "Deep Down In The Forest" a storytelling workshop.The Festival was organized in Novi Sad and Nis. | American Corner Novi Sad was involved in the project Local Volunteer Service trough which we hosted two volunteers for six months. The project ending celebration was held at the ACNS on 30th of September gathering more than 50 volunteers who have been working in different institutions in Novi Sad. The Project by Vovodinian Volunteer Centre www.volontiraj.org was funded by Ministry for Sport and Youth. American Corner Novi Sad received a Certificate of Appreciation as a partner host institution in this project. |

| An American expert in digital libraries, Mr. Todd Cutler, during his attendance at the international conference "Electronic Libraries", Sept. 25-27 was a guest of American Corner Novi Sad on September 30th. Mr. Cutler is a professor at the Indiana University and specialist in the field of modern technologies in library science and similar sciences. The lecture "Digital Libraries in US" was held for 10 librarians from Novi Sad. Likewise, Mr. Cutler gave an interview for the local newspapers "Dnevnik". |

| In order to mark the theme of the month "Cultural and Religious Diversity in USA" American Corner Novi Sad invited Ms.Tomike Konditi, from economics department at the American Embassy. Ms. Konditi gave a lecture on September 24th "Religious Diversity in USA". |

| On September 18 guest of American Corner Novi Sad was Mr.John Cappello, air attaché at the American Embassy Belgrade. Mr. Cappello gave lecture about the consequences of the 9/11. After the lecture the audience showed a lot of interest in the subject and we attend to organize lectures in the future on the similar subjects. |

| August 8, 9 and 10th and September 19, 20 and 21 - American Corner hosted 6 NGO representatives from the region of Vojvodina for the realization of the training seminars as a part of the project of Group "Let's" from Belgrade (www.hajdeda.org.yu). The project "Empowering Youth Organizations" was funded by Ministry for Sport and Youth. |

| June 18 - Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Mr. Anthony Phanigan visited American Corner Novi Sad in order to give lecture on the subject "Public Diplomacy in a Multilateral World". The lecture led to a very interesting discussion with the audience that lasted for three hours! We hope that this successful lecture will lead to more cooperation with OSCE in the future. |

| June 17- Business English Program which started on November last year finished with the final workshop on 17 of June. The students received certificates for attending workshops in total of 16 units. Moderator of the workshops was Slobodan Torovic who received a certificate, too. New group of students will start by the end of September. |

| June 13 - School of English language "Castrum Educo" presented two plays as a part of end of school year celebration: "The Missing Skeleton" and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". Both plays were performed on English language! |

| Graphics and paintings exhibition of MA Dunja Nedeljkovic, artist from Novi Sad has been officially opened on Friday June 6th. The reason for calling Ms. Nedeljkovic to exhibit at the AC was marking World Environment Day because here graphics and paintings surely remind us all about the beauty and significance of nature. |

| One more play produced by "Kamencic" Workshop took place at the American Corner Novi Sad on Thursday June 5th. The play "Fairytale Wedding" is a result of working with a group of young people from Novi Sad elementary and high schools. Workshop leaders are Dragana Miljkov and Milica Suvacarev. |

| On Thursday June 5th new culture and media advisor at the American Embassy Belgrade - Mr. Conrad Turner visited American Corner Novi Sad. The main reason for Mr. Turners visit was promotion of new programs for exchanges, scholarships and project support of the American Embassy. Mr. Turner meet with press representatives as well as with alumni students and AC volunteers. |

| 23 April - American Corner Novi Sad visited a group of 15 Roma children. We showed them what can they get in our Centre and gave them notebooks. Children collored the Easter paper eggs and learned some new words in english language. We had great fun! |

| April 22nd: we marked The Earth Day with two organizatons: Volunteer Centre of Vojvodina and Engineers of Enviroment protection. Each participant in the workshop could get basic info how he/she can contribute to protect enviroment. After this short workshop David Myers, EVS volunteer from UK showed how can they recycle and make useful things. 25 people were participating in this workshop. |
